I have found that students enjoy working on these
"Doublets" as a class exercise. For example, I put the two
words on top of each other on the board with blank lines
(indicating the links) in between them. The rules for these
puzzles are that you may change only one letter at a time,
keeping the remaining letters in their original position.
All of the "Link Words" must be real words that
are found in a standard dictionary.
The students will find new solutions, and possibly shorter
solutions. Feel free to e-mail me with the shorter
solutions, and I would be happy to add them to these pages.
